It's fairly easy Jacob.

Do you have Microsoft PP 2007?
If so -

If you want sound on the transition go to Animations and right next to Transition Scheme there's a box that says [No Sound].

For sounds on actually effects you need to go to Animations and click Custom Animation - that will bring a box up on the right side of your computer screen. Then you pick on the object you want to animate, choose the effect. Once you do that a box with a number will show up in the list. Right click that and it will give you a sound option.

Hope that helps! I know I explained it pretty badly. Haha
